STATIC MAIL / THE MAILROOM GUIDE
Make yourself at home.
Your mailbox, your writing desk, your words worth keeping. Send and receive text email with your @staticmail.pro address, including outside email addresses, in a limited preview.
Create your Mail identity
You can create your email directly in the Mailroom without an existing STATIC account. Choose a mailbox name and display name, set a password, and verify an external recovery email. Return with that recovery email and your password to sign in. Existing members can use their confirmed account email. Names use 3–32 letters, numbers, dots, underscores or hyphens; some service names are reserved.
Your primary address uses @staticmail.pro. The earlier @mail.thestaticnetwork.com ending remains an internal STATIC Mail alias for the same mailbox. Use your @staticmail.pro address for outside email. Your mailbox and conversation history belong to your Mail account, so changing an approved address ending does not create a separate mailbox or erase your history.
The address shown in your workspace is your primary address. Approved internal aliases, when shown under Other addresses, deliver inside STATIC Mail to that same mailbox and can be copied there. Only addresses approved and shown in your workspace are usable. This build does not let members add arbitrary custom domains or aliases.
Write and keep a draft
Choose Compose, enter recipients, a subject, and your message. Save draft keeps it in your private mailbox; use Save and close before leaving unfinished work. The workspace warns before closing unsaved work. A newer draft saved in another window cannot be silently overwritten.
This pilot supports 100 saved drafts, subjects up to 300 characters, messages up to 50,000 characters, and up to 10 recipients per message. Native conversations that stay inside STATIC Mail allow 100 messages per account in a rolling 24-hour period.
Read, reply and organize
Open a message to read its conversation. Reply continues that thread. Replying to one of your sent messages keeps its original recipients, including when the saved sender address is an older approved alias. The Thread Graph lists the actual addresses participating in your saved conversation. Choose a message category, star a message, mark it unread, archive it, or move it to Trash. Restore returns a trashed message to the inbox; Trash is not a permanent-delete action in this build.
What Needs You shows unread inbox messages and starred messages outside Trash. Search checks all saved messages in the selected folder or category, including messages beyond the first loaded page. Load older conversations opens the next page.
Send with a confirmed result
Send to STATIC Mail or outside email addresses. A message appears in Sent only after its dispatch is accepted. This confirms acceptance for delivery; the destination can still delay or reject it. If a connection interruption makes the result uncertain, Confirm send checks the same request safely; it does not send a duplicate.
The external preview allows 10 recipient deliveries per account in 24 hours and a shared allowance of 50 recipient deliveries per UTC day. Every recipient routed through external mail counts, including STATIC recipients in mixed messages and replies to externally delivered conversations. Unused drafts do not consume the allowance; reserved send attempts do. Incoming email is also subject to shared preview capacity.
Incoming messages appear as plain text. Attachments are not downloaded; messages containing them show a notice. Long incoming text is shortened with a visible notice. The workspace refreshes while it is open and visible. Mail does not yet provide push notifications, attachments, external account import, scheduled sending, member-managed aliases or custom domains, AI assistance, or end-to-end encryption.
Your copies and your account
Export your Mail downloads your saved text messages and drafts as JSON. Browser export supports up to 10,000 message copies and 20 MB of message body text; larger mailboxes need assisted export. Threads longer than 200 message copies also need export for their complete history.
Your mailbox, drafts, sent copies and received copies follow your account deletion, available in account settings. A recipient keeps their independent copy of a message you sent. Deleting your account does not recall their copy. A send whose result is still uncertain must be reconciled before account deletion can finish. Once account deletion is confirmed, Mail access and writes are blocked while deletion completes.
Retired mailbox names are never reassigned. After account deletion, STATIC retains a hashed mailbox-name reservation and a legacy hash of the address to keep those names reserved. These reservations contain no owner ID, timestamp, display name, or message content. A guessed name or address can still be matched to its hash. Minimal incoming-event identifiers remain to prevent duplicate delivery, and shared daily usage totals do not retain owner details.
